National Association for People Living with HIV and AIDS in Malawi (NAPHAM) is a registered non-government organization in Malawi working to promote positive living among people living with HIV as well as promote quality care and support.

 The UNICEF-NAPHAM Youth Project

NAPHAM Lilongwe Office conducted a training last January 2009 for the NAPHAM Youth Club. The training was participated by several NAPHAM youth leaders under the supervision of Lilongwe District Coordinator Mathias Mbamba.  The training was conducted at NAPHAM Lilongwe Office. The four-day training empowered the youth to take an active role in informing peers about HIV and HIV prevention.  It is with hope that this training will attract other young people to join in youth discussions about HIV.

Nutritional Assessment and Monitoring by HBC Leaders

NAPHAM has recently been granted by VSO Malawi National Volunteering Programme a  small grants to equip home-based care providers (HBC) leaders with the knowledge, skills and materials to conduct regular nutritional assessment and monitoring of NAPHAM members and beneficiaries most especially the chronically ill clients and child care therapy participants. The training will be conducted in Lilongwe District on 27th February 2009.
